SONGWRITING CONFIDENTIAL 52.
When your prompted to write a song, at that very instant the song owns you; you are in servitude to that song just like a Burrow carrying a heavy load on it's back across the desert for it's master. The song knows how it is to be written, it doesn't need your input, it knows exactly what lines are to go where. All it needs you to do is to write it down as it is given and get out of it's way; The song will give you the proper melody for the subject matter. It is a piece of art that you've been given and entrusted with that you don't have to do anything for except first, to be the scribe, and second be the delivery boy which means going out and singing it to the world. This is a troubadour's life's work; it does't seem like much to be such spiritual sacred work.
